Life is funny, isn't it? The blog-world has been intriguing me for a few years now, but I've always denied my desire to begin one because (1) Who would want to read about my life? (2) I've heard too many people comment about how a blog is just a way for any joe-shmoe to become quasi-fake-published. (3) I care too much about what other people think.
So here's the deal: I love writing. I need an outlet for my writing. Journaling has working in the past, but for some reason, it just doesn't cut the ketchup (Note: I loathe mustard.) anymore. As mentioned above, my life is a plethora of self-imposed, semi-dramatic moments. I enjoy it. Sometimes those moments should be shared, while other times those moments should be tucked away to a secret place where no one will ever be able to reach them, not even with a 39 1/2 foot pole (cue Grinch music). This blog will be a smattering (real word) of the worthy-to-be-shared moments, should-be-unreachable moments, and anything else I deem worthy of such a blog. Laugh along, grab a tissue, and get ready to dive inside the head of one "20-something, newlywed, first-year teacher."
As I say to my students just after explaining a new task, "And...go."
